A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where he served for years in Vietnam.  He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years.  He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country".  The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.


There is a new cartoon everyday.

CLK Post 3900 Awards to Calumet High School JROTC Cadets

Post 3900 gave out $500.00 scholarships to Cadet Claire Goss and Cadet Julia Heflin and VFW JROTC Medals to Cadet Jason Bruchman, Cadet Kate Probst and Cadet Charlotte Leach at the JROTC award night on May 13th. Congratulations to our award winners!

More than a Game: The legacy of the VFW Pool Tournament

In 1968, a friendly challenge to a game of pool was thrown out between VFW members from different parts of Michigan. Now, 56 years later, the VFW Michigan Pool League has attracted hundreds of veterans who compete annually.
